Thank you for visiting. I'm Chris Teo-Sherrell and I'm standing for re-election to the Palmerston North City Council in 2010. If you want a prosperous city focussed on sustainability, quality of life and living within our means, please support me to get re-elected. (See Why am I standing for council again in 2010?)

I was first elected to Council in 2007. Since then, I've worked hard to live up to the commitments I made to you during that election campaign by representing the community and helping Council to achieve substantial positive change.

Achievements

At the broadest level, I've been pivotal in developing a new city vision based on being sustainable. And some of us have worked hard at rebuilding the relationship between residents and the Council. Those are two I'm particularly pleased about, but there are other notable achievements as well, from wheelie bins to a quieter and safer Centennial Drive (see What I've achieved on Council ).

Future Focus

Of course, three years is a short period to make many major changes. A ship takes a long time to change direction. We have developed numerous strategies and plans to reflect the new vision for the city. Now we need to start taking actions to make the new vision a reality (see What needs to be done to be a sustainable city? ).

Principles

In 2007, I spelled out the principles that would guide me in my role as your representative. I reiterate those (see What principles will guide me? ) and I'll make some further commitments to you (see My commitments to residents for 2010-2013 ).

Just What Are You Voting For
